6.1.D. - Page 1 RE PO RT To the Honorable Mayor and City Council From the Cit Mana er August 26, 2013 SUBJECT One-year extension to the agreement for Redwood City to provide Information Technology (IT) Support Services to City of Burlingame RECOMMENDATION Approve, by motion, a one-year extension for Redwood City to provide information technology (IT) support services to the City of Burlingame and authorize the City Manager to sign the agreement for the period July 1, 2013 - June 30, 2014. BACKGROUND On February 23, 1999, the cities of Redwood City and Burlingame entered into an agreement for Redwood City to provide information technology services to the City of Burlingame. The agreement became effective on July 1, 1998, for a term through June 30, 1999, and was renewable on a year-to-year basis for each fiscal year from July 1 through June 30. On September 2, 2003, the Parties executed an amendment to the original agreement to renew the agreement, adjust the hourly rates and commitments, and restate the terms, conditions, and services of the agreement. On August 8, 2006, the Parties executed an amendment to the original agreement to renew the agreement, adjust the rates and commitments, and restate the terms, conditions, and services of the agreement. On June 28, 2007, the Parties executed an amendment to the original agreement to renew the agreement, adjust the rates and commitments, and restate the terms, conditions, and services of the agreement. The term of the amendment was five years, commencing on July 1, 2007, expiring on June 30, 2012. On September 10, 2012, the Parties executed a one-year extension to the amendment, adjusting the rates and commitments, and restating the terms, conditions, and services of the agreement. The term of the extension was one year, commencing on July 1, 2012, expiring on June 30, 2013. On July 2, 2013, the City of Burlingame agreed to terms for a one-year extension covering fiscal year 2013-14. The agreement as executed by the City of Burlingame is attached for the City Council's reference.
