7.2.A. - Page 3 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS OR <br />HER DESIGNEE TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE LICENSES FOR <br />THE INTERIM USE OF CITY PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, on , 2012, the City Council of the City of Redwood <br />City ("Council") adopted the City of Redwood City Real Property Acquisition and Disposal <br />Policy ("Real Property Policy"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Real Property Policy provides, among other things, that Council <br />may wish to establish additional procedures so that the interim uses of City property may <br />be authorized by the City Manager or Community Development Director; and <br />WHEREAS, concurrently herewith, on September 23, 2013, Council amended the <br />Real Property Policy to establish that Council may delegate its authority to the City <br />Manager or Community Development Director to enter into licenses for the interim uses <br />of City property by ordinance or resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, Council desires to delegate the negotiation and execution of licenses <br />for the interim uses of City property to the City Manager in order to expedite and simplify <br />the process for such temporary uses of the City's property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Manager or his or her designee is hereby authorized to <br />manage, negotiate and execute license agreements for the interim uses of City property <br />on behalf of the City of Redwood City consistent with all of the following terms, and in <br />forms approved by the City Attorney: <br />a. The proposed interim use must not conflict with or preclude any existing or <br />planned future City use; <br />b. The proposed interim use must not be for communication antennas, <br />apparatus, or any similar devices; such proposed use must be considered by the City <br />Council; <br />C.
