8.A. - Page 238 <br />Environmental Health Department regulations and State and Federal site <br />remediation regulations in order to ensure that there are no risks to human <br />health from any on-site contamination discovered during project <br />excavation and/or construction activities. <br />46. Wherever a construction permit Is required, including the development <br />parcel and adjacent roadway areas, continuous site inspection shall be <br />provided by a Soils Engineer at Applicant's expense during trenching and <br />backfill operations. The Soils Engineer shall take compaction tests, and <br />shall submit the test results to CDD. <br />47.Applicant shall retain a civil engineer to prepare "as -built" drawings. The <br />engineer shall perform field work, to the extent that helshe determines is <br />necessary, to verify that the as -built drawings are in substantial <br />compliance with the field conditions. As -built plans shall be submitted to <br />CDD on original tracing or permanent Mylar. <br />48.The applicant's engineer shall design roadway improvements including <br />edge of road details and curbs with minimum roadway widths to insure <br />conformance to the project plans October 17, 2012, prepared by BKF <br />Engineers, and related information submitted by Applicant, on file with <br />Planning Services. <br />49. Backflow protection on water services shall be required. The backflow <br />preventer shall be above grade, and shall be as dose as feasibly possible <br />to the meter or point of connection. It shall be located within the building, <br />accessible to the Public Works Services Department from the outside 1br <br />testing via a stainless steel cabinet door or equivalent subject to Planning <br />Division approval. The cabinet shall, have adequate clearance, and shall <br />comply with all applicable standards in the Uniform Plumbing Code and <br />the Redwood City Municipal Code. <br />50. Fire sprinklers shall be installed to protect all areas of a dwelling unit <br />including garages. (IRC R313.3.1.1) <br />51.Sbict compliance with all fire and life safety requirements, standards and <br />procedures will be imposed due to the fact that the project site is located <br />within a "Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone" as mapped by the State of <br />California and adopted by the City of Redwood City. <br />52.AII materials applied as roof -covering shall have a fire retarding rating of <br />Class A or B. (City Ordinance) <br />53 -The minimum number of fire hydrants and spacing requirements available <br />to the building shall not be less than that listed in International Fire Code <br />Appendix C.
