Singe I may not be able to attend the h
personally. I would like to express In advance my support for the appeal.
I have had the opportunity to examine the said appeal thanks to the "Draft Staff Report' 1
by the Redwood City Planning Staff
(http.1/www.redwooddty.org/govemmenticoundVpacket&201 I iLaursiWayPrelimfnarySts
08-2011.pdf).
As a neighbor of Glenwood Ave, I generally concur with the concerns exposed by the ap
particular, I would like to emphasize two specific points:
* Page 5, third bulla:, considerations amt the reported "temporaW nature of the
Impact In contrast with, potentially, up to nine years of constructlon
I am a recent homeowner in the neighborhood (moved In during May 2009), and this pro
redlcally changes the expectations that I had when I purchased my prop". Glenwood J
cul-de- c with a notably quiet park (Garnet Paris) and low traffic. These wom important
considerations for me since I am the father of a 3 -yr and 1 -yr old children, whose safety 1
concern. Should the development project take place as submitted in 2007, the quality of
neighborhood would worsen for over nine years as a result of increased noise, reduced 1
and potential landslides. Moreover, if Glenwood Ave were used to access the constructic
would experience significant traffic of heavy equipment (note that Laurel Way Joint Vents
withdrawn its 2007 application, so we do not know what a new application would prOPON
regard).
* Page 5, second bullet, considerations about the effective enforcement of the Wild
Monitoring and Reporting Plan. -
I concur with the appeal In that the MitigWon Measures accompanying the EIR, taken all
look challenging to say the least-. This only reflects the complexity of the project in an
environmentally frepgile area, only a mile away from Edgmmod Park & Natural Preserve.
only two examples that reflect the oamplexhy of the MMRP:
8/16/2011
