Not all cities appoint a representative to the Board in a timely fashion or select a qualified <br />individual as stipulated in the Health Code. <br />Council agrees with finding F6 — "Trustees and senior District staff should receive monthly financial <br />reports"— as this reflects a standard best practice that is followed by the City of Redwood City regarding <br />the City's fiscal management. <br />The remainder of the Grand Jury's findings (F1 -F5 and F7 -F14) relate to areas outside of the City of <br />Redwood City's areas of direct knowledge or responsibility and the City Council was not provided with <br />enough information to come to a conclusion regarding these findings. <br />The report contains 11 recommendations, of which two are directed to city and town councils. <br />R10. Appoint a council member to the District Board if a representative cannot be found after <br />vetting applicants. <br />The City agrees with this recommendation. The City currently has a representative on the District Board. <br />The recommendation will be implemented in future recruitments as necessary depending on the results <br />of the recruitment process. <br />R11.
