GENERAL A. Proposed changes to the Storettont Improvement Program Redevelopment Agency Director Church described the Program which prompts improvements that would not otherwise happen and encourages higher quality improvements. The recommended changes woUld double the eligible amount of a rebate for unreinforced masonry buildings and improvements up to $50,000; and require architectural documentation, at half the cost, or the option of using a no cost Agency- design: Housing Specialist Svoboda presented slides of completed improvements and works in progress. In answer to Director Gasparini's questions, Housing Specialist Svoboda advised that this program applied to the back of buildings that were seen by the public as well. Mr. Svoboda described the marketing strategies employed by the Housing Department and the brochure sent to every business and business owner on Broadway and Main Streets.
