8.B. - Page 3 The Appellant claims that there has been no outreach to the neighbors for the P roj ect. The City has complied with all legal requirements for noticing and has provided outreach as follows: Initial PD Permit Application: • On June 23, 2011, a neighborhood outreach meeting was conducted by the Applicants on the subject property to provide an opportunity for the neighbors within the project vicinity (the City notifies property owners and tenants within 300 feet of the project site) to learn about the project and to discuss project-related concerns. • On January 31, 2012, a Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration was mailed by the City to property owners and tenants, including the Appellant's address, within a 300-foot radius of the subject property. A copy of the notice was also published in the Redwood City Daily News on February 1, 2012. The notice announced the City's release of the IS/MND for the required 20-day public review period, between February 1 and February 22, 2012, to provide the public and responsible agencies an opportunity to submit written comments on the IS/MND (the review period was extended by one (1) additional day to accommodate the Presidents Day holiday). • On March 22, 2012, a public hearing notice for the April 3, 2012 Planning Commission public hearing was mailed to all property owners and tenants, including the Appellant's address, within a 300-foot radius of the subject property in accordance with the City's public hearing noticing requirements. A copy of the notice was also published in the Redwood City Daily News on March 23, 2012. • On April 3, 2012, a Planning Commission public hearing was held during which time was allotted for the public to provide comments on the Project and the IS/MND. No written comments or oral testimony was provided by the Appellant at that time. Attached for reference are the minutes from this hearing (Attachment 8). New PD Permit Application: • On June 21, 2013, a Notice of Public Hearing of the July 2, 2013 Planning Commission meeting was mailed to property owners and tenants, including the Appellant, within a 300-foot radius of the subject property in accordance with the City's public hearing noticing requirements. A copy of said notice was also published in the Redwood City Daily News on the same day. At this hearing, the Appellant provided oral testimony expressing her concerns regarding parking and traffic. Attached for reference are the minutes from this hearing (Attachment 9).
