He stated the terrace area has a <br /> rich experience there for them. <br /> Commissioner Bondonno asked if there is a rending from the perspective on the terrace. <br /> Mr. Hunter stated it is in the video, so he could provide that. <br /> Commissioner Bondonno asked if one or both open areas are for potential outdoor dining. <br /> Mr. Hunter stated that in the north end opposite depot station there will be a restaurant there <br /> because it's in the plan. But there is the opportunity to have additional restaurants than what <br /> is required. <br /> Commissioner Bondonno asked if potentially both the privately owned and City-owned pieces <br /> of open space could be used for outdoor dining. <br /> Mr. Hunter replied yes. <br /> Commissioner Bondonno asked if that were to occur, would there be railing or anything that <br /> would barricade the area for the restaurant rather than being a more open public space. <br /> Mr. Hunter stated that when there is alcohol served on the sidewalk, the ABC requires there <br /> has to be a defined and controllable area. <br /> Commissioner Bondonno asked Staff to weigh in on that. He stated it is probably too early to <br /> determine the tenants and thus what the requirement would be. He stated the idea should be <br /> that there will not be barriers built until such a requirement would arise. <br /> Mr. Hunter stated that would be correct in the front of the building, if it were a tenant that did <br /> not serve alcohol. He stated in the north side there is a more defined line. <br /> Mr. Ekern stated that on the public plaza portion, that would be under an agreement with the <br /> City so they could set the rules for what goes there. <br /> Mr. Lyon stated hat ABC is Alcohol Beverage Control. <br /> Commissioner Bondonno stated that he wanted to make sure there is not a plan now to <br /> barricade the whole space in preparation for a restaurant outdoor space. <br /> Mr. Lyon stated the City is working with the landscape architect, etc., to look at this space to <br /> begin to consider options depending on pedestrian flow, etc. <br /> Commissioner Radcliffe asked about the parking. She asked if it will be easy to change from <br /> so many parking space to some more bike spaces or shared car spaces. <br /> Mr. Hunter stated that they knew going into the project what parking requirements are. He <br /> stated during the workday hopefully it would be filled with tenants, and the amount provided is <br /> the minimum. He stated after hours it would thin out quickly.
