He stated that no matter how <br /> many exits there are, there will still be a large number of cars being dumped out at 5 PM. <br /> Commissioner Radcliffe stated that Theater Way is a different block so people exiting may not <br /> want to go down Theater Way because there will be a lot of people visiting the cinema, etc. <br /> She asked how the back of the building will look, because more people will be using the rails <br /> and in the pictures it looks uninspiring. <br /> Mr. Ekern stated that it's all garage on the back but it has finistrations, they are working on <br /> grading the materials to protect them and keep them open air and look attractive at the same <br /> time. He stated a large part of that area will be planting. He stated the fire department has to <br /> have access along the back side as well. <br /> Mr. Hunter described the back of the building. <br /> Commissioner Radcliffe stated that she wanted to make sure that it wasn't just a white wall. <br /> Mr. Hunter replied no. <br /> Commissioner Radcliffe noted there are trees in the back, which is interesting because trains <br /> don't typically like trees right there. <br /> Mr. Hunter stated that trees are ten feet in from the property line against Pennsylvania which <br /> runs up to the railroad, so there is space there. <br /> Commissioner Radcliffe stated that root balls don't like to be below grade, and she suggested <br /> putting in a grate/crushed granite combination. <br /> Mr. Hunter stated that if the Precise Plan allows for it, they like tree grates and crushed DG. <br /> Mr. Ekern stated that he supports that comment and he will speak with the landscape architect <br /> to work with the developer on that. <br /> Commissioner White stated that during the recess he asked if there were any renderings of <br /> the steps up from Jefferson. He asked about a rendering of the approach from Jefferson on <br /> the other side of the train tracks. He stated that is a big entrance to downtown. <br /> Mr. Hunter stated he can put that together, but it's a little tricky. <br /> Commissioner White stated he is thinking of the place before the stoplight intersection, <br /> because as someone goes down Jefferson from EI Camino, this is what they are presented <br /> with. <br /> Mr. Hunter showed some graphics, stating that what is seen in those is very similar to what <br /> that view will be. <br /> Page 10 of 13 <br />
