?E nvironmentcrl Analysis
III.AIR QUALITY--Where available, Potentialiy Less Than Less Than No
the significance criteria established by the Significant Significant Significant Impact
applicable air quality management or air Impacts with Impact
pollution coatrol district may be relied Mitigation
upon to make the following Incorporatioil
determinations. Wou1d the project:
a) Conflict with or obstruct ❑ ❑
implementarion of the applicable air
quality plan?
b) Violate any air quality standard ox ❑ ❑ ❑
contribute substantially to a existing or
projected air quality vialation?
c) Result in a cum.ulatively considerable ❑ ❑ ❑
net increase of any criteria pollutant for
which the project region is non-attauiment
under an applicable federal or state
ambient air quaiiry standard (including
xeleasing emissions which exceed
quanitative thresholds for ozone
precursors)?
d}Expose sensitive receptars to ❑ ❑ ❑
substantial pollutant concentrations?
e) Create objecrionable odors affecring a ❑ ❑ ❑
substantial number of people?
The proposed pump station and US 101 undercrossing would result in temporary construction
emissions from earthmaving and other construction activities. The only emissions during operation
would be from the tesring of the errexgency generator and maintenance of landscaping. The joint
bicycle and pedestrian path under U5 101 would encourage use of a.lternative transportation sources
and result in a net reduction in emissions of criteria pollutants in the area.
Corasttuction Emissions. Construction emissions consist of the short-term emissions of
criteria pollutants fxorn construcrion equipment, earthmoving, worker commutes, ard
transpartahon of materials to and from the project site. Point Impact Analpsis idenrified the
emissions forn the constructon of the replacement pump starion work and the joint-use parh,
using CalEEMod version 2011.1.1 and the proposed equipment lists, the durations of equipment
use,and construction schedule to identifp the maxirnum potential daily emissions {see
_' '. US 101 Pedestriaa Undercrossang and Brrir
Island Koad Storz Drain PummStation Project
