2 Enuimnrnental Asaalysis <br /> • Identification measures to be implemented to conserve the p�re��species and <br /> habitats within the pxoject area;and <br /> • Distribution of an informative fact sheet to personnel who ma�=enter the project area. <br /> Mi#igation Measure BIO G: Construction Monitoring <br /> A qual�fied bialogist shall be present during vegetation clearing and initial ground disturbance <br /> adjacent to the banks of Redwoad Creek and during installation aE the cofferdam for the US <br /> 101 undercrossing. If any occupied nests,roosting bats,ox endangered species are <br /> encountered during construction,the City shall consult with the CDFW or USFWS to <br /> develop appropriate measures to be taken to avoid disturbance to i�esring birds or any <br /> endangered spec'.i�, <br /> Mitigatio� Measure BIO 7: Site Constructian Management Practices <br /> The following site rnanagement practices shall be implemented during construction of the <br /> puinp station and US 101 undercrossing pxoject: <br /> • Extsring access routes,staging areas, and work areas shall be limited to e�s�ing paved or <br /> disturbed surfaces. <br /> • All£ood and food-related items shall be enclosed in sealed trash containers and <br /> completely removed from the site at the end of each day. <br /> • All equipment shall be praperly maintained to prevent leaks such as gasoline,oil, and <br /> solvents,and a Spill Response Plan shall be prepaxe4l <br /> � The Contractor shall store all hazaxdous substances and materials in sealable storage <br /> containers in designated locations on paved surfaces and at least 100 feet from aquatic <br /> habitats. <br /> � Vehicle equipment fueling and maintenances shall occur at commercial gas stations or <br /> within designated staging areas that are at least 100 feet from aquatic ha�itat. <br /> • Biodegradable coir rolls, straw wattles, or silt fences will be installed at appropriate <br /> locations along the base of slopes during construction to capture sediment. <br /> Mit�gation Measure BIO 8: Revegetarion of Disturbed Areas <br /> The Contractor shall restore all unpaved axeas temporari�y a£fected by the project <br /> construction to their original or improved conditions. The Contractor shall hydroseed the <br /> disturbed areas along the creek bank with a native plant mix. <br /> With the implementation of these mitigation measu.res,the potential impacts to endangexed and <br /> special status species would be less than significant.
