All nearby city paxks and co�munity facilities are in the <br /> developed portions of the City south and west of US 101. The nearest neighboxhood/regiomal paxl� <br /> is Caurthouse 5quare Parli,0.4 miles south of the praject{Figure BGl, General Plan,Redwood City, <br /> 2011). The water-oriented recrearional opportururies are narth and east of US 101. These facilities <br /> include Pete's Haxbor in the Bayfront area,marinas at Seaport Boulevaxd and Redwood Shores, <br /> waterfront taits,and open space. A wildlife refuge, the DESFBWR,is an Bair Island 0.4 miles north <br /> oF the project area. The refuge is currently undetgoing xestorarion for preservation of wetlands and <br /> enhancement of public access (City of Redwood City,201�). <br /> The San Francisco Bap Trail,approxisnately 400 miles of natural trail for pedestrians and bicyclists <br /> that the Associa�ion af Bay�rea Governments (ABAG) is planning in niae counties circling the bay, <br /> runs past the northe�n entrance to the joint-use path. Within Redwood Cit�-, the Bair Island and <br /> '_ ;� US �01 Pede_+traan Undercrossing and J3air <br /> Island Aoad Starnr Draira Pump Station Praject <br />
