EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES. TIME SCHEDULE AND FEE SCHEDULE <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> The City of Redwood City seeks a contractor to perform the concrete saw-cutting work in <br /> the City's Main Library located at 1044 Middlefield Road. The hole will allow the future <br /> automated material handling equipment be installed through the wall. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES AND TIME SCHEDULE <br /> The scope of work for the project shall include the following: <br /> 1. Furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals necessary to saw- <br /> cut existing 14" thick concrete wall with reinforcement. The limit of the saw-cutting <br /> work: <br /> a. Width of the opening shall be 2'-5" and the rough opening is 2'-9" <br /> b. Rough opening of the height shall be 40" with a minimum opening of 36". <br /> 2. The wall thickness is an approximate estimate based on available record drawings. <br /> Contractor will be allowed to visit the site prior to submitting the bid. The contractor <br /> lump sum price shall be inclusive of all work to remove the concrete wall and no <br /> additional compensation will be made. <br /> 3. The lump sum price shall constitute full compensation for furnishing and installing <br /> 7/8" horizontal HAT channel, 5/8"Type"X"gypsum board, corner bead, anchoring, <br /> supports, screws, and all appurtenances and miscellaneous related materials to <br /> complete the installation. Full compensation for additional materials and labor not <br /> shown on the plans or specified, which are necessary to complete the work shall <br /> be considered as included in the lump sum price paid, and no additional <br /> compensation will be made. <br /> 4. The contractor shall procure a Redwood City's Business and provide insurance, <br /> bonds (payment and pertormance) for the project. <br /> 5. The contractor shall coordinate with the City the location of the actual saw cutting <br /> prior to pertorming the work. <br /> 6. The contractor shall submit all additional required documents as stated in the <br /> attached Agreement. <br /> 7. The contractor shall submit submittals for the project. Favorable review of <br /> submittals shall be obtained prior to fabrication, delivery and construction of items <br /> requiring submittal review. Favorable review constitutes "General Check" only for <br /> general conformance with the design concept of the project. Favorable review <br /> shall not in no way relieve the Contractor from responsibility for errors or omissions <br /> contained therein. <br /> 8.
