EXHIBIT "A" SCOPE OF SERVICES Consuitant shall provide wastewater flow monitoring services as part of the City's annual flow monitoring program as described in more detail below. Services shall be provided at the nine (9)sites listed below. Task Description Task 1. Perform field reconnaissance and document review Consultant shall review available plans and documents, and conduct field reconnai5sance of the proposed flow monitoring sites identified by the City. The reconnaissance shall assess hydraulic conditions, manhole access, traffic control requirements, and safety issues for each site. No modifications to the proposed meter sites shall be made without prior review and approval by the City. Deliverable: Consultant shall submit documentation of site reconnaissance and final flow monitoring sites to the City by November 20, 2013. Task 2. Installation/Calibration/Maintenance/Removal of Flow Monitors: Consultant shall install nine (9)flow meters and one (1) rain gauge for a period of sixty (60) days starting no later than December 4, 2013, with an option to extend the monitoring on a weekly basis up to one additional month. The flow meters will be area-velocity type capable of ineasuring flows and flow depths under surcharge conditions. Pipe diameters will range from approximately 10 to 24 inches. Rain gauges will be tipping bucket type capable of recording to 0.01 inches. The flow monitoring locations are listed as follows: • Meter 1: HOPKINS AVENUE AND EL CAMINO REAL (15-inch diameter) • Meter 2: SAMSON ST. AND ALLERTON ST. (18-inch diameter) • Meter 3: JAMES AVE.AND CLINTON ST. (15-inch diameter) • Meter 4:VERA AVE.AND CLINTON ST. (10-inch diameter) • Meter 5:ADAMS ST.AND LINCOLN AVE. (24-inch diameter) • Meter 6: MANZANITA ST. AND SHASTA ST, (18-inch diameter) • Meter 7: MAPLE AVE. (10-inch diameter) � Meter 8: HESS ROAD NEAR GENEVA AVE. (15-inch diameter) • Meter 9:WHIPPLE AVENUE NEAR LENOLT ST. (12-inch diameter) The flow meters and the rain gauge shall be installed at the approved sites and visited weekly during the monitoring period. Consultant shall report to the City within 24 hours of each site visit if any meter has malfunctions or otherwise fails to provide good data, or if changes in site conditions have impacted collection of good data. Field calibration data (independent measurements of flow depth and velocity) shall be collected throughout the monitoring period for each meter to verify monitor accuracy over a range of flow depths. The flow data will be collected at 5-minute intervals and reported at 15-minute intervals. The meters will be interrogated at each site visit and the data (considered preliminary)will be provided to the City for review on a weekly basis within three (3) days after interrogation.
