EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Project Description <br /> This work includes design services to prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates, and to provide <br /> construction support for pedestrian roadway improvements on Brewster Avenue between Fulton Street <br /> and Arch Street, and on Broadway between Brewster Avenue and Arch Street. Basic improvements <br /> include bulb-outs (and associated drainage modifications as needed), ADA-compliant curb ramps, <br /> enhanced crosswalk markings, and school signage. To the extent that the grant budget can <br /> accommodate them, additional improvements will be included in the final design. Additional <br /> improvements may include sidewalk repairs, raised crosswalks, median islands, signal modifications, <br /> pedestrian lighting, and/or traffic-calming features. <br /> TASK 1 —PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br /> 1. a Coordination,Administration, Schedule <br /> Consultant will monitor the project budget and schedule, maintain close communication with the <br /> City project manager, and manage and supervise in-house staff. Consultant will provide monthly <br /> invoices with status reports to indicate current progress, next steps, and any upcoming potential <br /> issues of concern. <br /> 1. b Project Meetings <br /> Consultant will coordinate regular project team meetings including project kick-off, site visit, design <br /> coordination, submittal comments review, and utility/agency meetings. Consultant will be <br /> responsible for preparation and distribution of ineeting agendas, conducting the meetings, and <br /> preparing meeting minutes. <br /> 1.c Quality Control <br /> Consultant will follow a quality control process in conformance with ConsultanYs Quality Control <br /> Manual and guided by ConsultanYs QA/QC manager. This includes keeping the project on <br /> schedule and budget, periodically checking on satisfaction with the project development process <br /> with the City, assuring the project is proceeding in accordance with the City's goals and priorities, <br /> and undertaking careful quality control reviews of the design and cost estimates at each major <br /> progress milestone. <br /> Task 1 Deliverables: <br /> • Project schedule and two updates <br /> • Agenda and minutes for up to four project meetings <br /> • Monthly invoice and progress reports <br /> . Quality control reviews <br /> TASK 2—PROJECT INITIATION AND PRELIMINARY DESIGN <br /> 2.a Data Gathering and Topographic Survey <br /> Consultant will obtain as-built information available through the City, including right of way mapping, <br /> landowner's information, utilities, traffic data, and other appropriate information. Consultant will <br /> collect information on previous studies and work done by the City to provide a comprehensive <br /> understanding of the background and site conditions of the project. <br /> Available survey data and site mapping will be acquired and reviewed by Consultant. This will be <br /> the basis for the initial topographic survey mapping. Consultant will provide land surveying services <br /> including field topographic surveys and record right of way determination from record data and GIS <br /> ATfY/AGR/2013.216/MARK THOMAS&CO <br /> REV:117-13 VR <br /> Page 10 of 14 <br />
