Approval of the Draft Minutes May 9, 2013 <br /> Draft Minutes of May 9, 2013 to be continued to the next meeting date <br /> Approval of the Draft Minutes October 10, 2013 <br /> Draft Minutes of October 10, 2013 to be continued to the next meeting date <br /> 3. 1052 Edgewood Road Mills Act Contract <br /> M/S (Rhoads/Hagan) approving and recommend to the Planning Commission the <br /> approval of the Mills Act Contract for the property located at 1052 Edgewood Road with <br /> minor changes to the 10 year plan. <br /> Motion Passed 3-0 <br /> 4. 2114—2116 Broadway Historian Report <br /> Senior Planner Vaughn gave an overview and powerpoint presentation on the project. <br /> An application was received for a Downtown Planned Community Permit for interior <br /> and exterior remodels to the building located at 2114-2116 Broadway. The rear of <br /> project abuts 727 Middlefield Road, a historic resource. The proposal is to re-access <br /> the entry on the first floor to create an outdoor seating area for the retail space. The <br /> square footage taken out of the ground floor is being placed above on the second floor <br /> to add a small addition. There is no new net square footage for the site. <br /> Richard Brandi, Historian, gave a brief presentation. He stated that this project has no <br /> impact on the historic integrity of the property. <br /> Mike Kastrop, Principal Architect of Kastrop Group Architects, introduced himself to the <br /> Committee. <br /> M/S (Rhoads/Hagan) APPROVE A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br /> ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DETERMINING THAT <br /> THE PROPOSED PROJECT LOCATED AT 2114-2116 BROADWAY STREET WIIL <br /> NOT HAVE AN ADVERSE IMPACT ON THE DESIGNATED HISTORIC RESOURCE <br /> LOCATED AT 727 MIDDLEFIELD ROAD, AND RECOMMEND THAT THE ZONING <br /> ADMINISTRATOR APPROVE THE ASSOCIATED PERMIT <br /> Motion Passed 3-0 <br /> 5. Palacio Apartments Historian Report <br /> Mr. Zack, Project Planner for the project, stated that the applicants are seeking a <br /> Downtown Planned Community Permit for an entirely new apartment building. The site <br /> is adjacent from the Mezesville Historic District and requires the HRAC review for <br /> negative impacts on the district. <br /> Mr. Zack gave an overview and powerpoint presentation on the project. <br /> Mr. Brandi, Historian, gave a brief presentation of the project and stated that the project <br /> will not have an impact on the Mezesville Historic District or the contributing resources <br /> located at 634 and 702 Brewster Avenue. <br /> Committee Member Hagan asked if there are currently any five story buildings in the <br /> LEGAL22641265.1 <br />
