National Historic Preservation Month <br /> Mrs. Eakin received a $500.00 donation from Rocket Fuel. <br /> Mr. Zack to contact Vice-Chair Gernand in regards to a match of those funds and that <br /> there will be no funding from the City. <br /> Ms. Hagan will look into asking for donation of funds. <br /> 14. 147 Birch Vinyl Windows <br /> Mr. Zack gave background regarding the property. Renovations were being done with <br /> no permits, the Building Department asked the property owners to stop work, but <br /> before this could be brought to the HRAC the Community Development Director <br /> directed the Building Department to allow property owners to proceed with the work. <br /> The original double hung wood windows were being replaced with vinyl windows. The <br /> property is not designated and the window work does not require a permit when the <br /> windows are only being swapped. <br /> Chair Rolandelli stated that the property is within the proposed boundaries of the Mt. <br /> Carmel District. <br /> 15. Oral Communications <br /> • Mel's Bowl Sign — Chair Rolandelli stated that the Mel's Bowl sign was <br /> moved to a car wash on EI Camino Real. There are two proposed plaques <br /> on the property: one plaque states the history of the site and the other <br /> plaque states the history and a picture of the sign. <br /> • 418 Stambaugh Street — Chair Rolandelli stated that Mr. Zack received a <br /> message from the owners of the home. It is an 1860's house in the <br /> Stambaugh Heller District. The property owners want to replace the original <br /> windows with vinyl. There is currently a Mills Act Contract on the property. <br /> He suggested an on-site meeting to determine whether the original windows <br /> are beyond repair. If it is an energy efficiency issue then the Committee will <br /> explore alternatives to replacement to achieve the same goal. If a <br /> determination is made that the windows are beyond repair the Committee <br /> would like to see a sample or visiul of what the replacement windows will <br /> look like. <br /> Mr. Zack has asked to property owner to provide specs for the proposed <br /> new windows. <br /> • Chair Rolandelli received communication from Howard Bulca regarding the <br /> purchase of property adjacent to the Post Office and is in need of <br /> information regarding that site. <br /> LEGAL22641265.1 <br />
