6.B. - Page 17 <br /> Motion Passed 4-0 <br /> 4. 842 Edgewood Road — Mills Act Contract <br /> Mr. Zack stated that the property owners would like to apply for a Historic Preservation <br /> Agreement — Mills Act Contract and provided a proposed 10-year plan as revised by <br /> the Committee at the Special Meeting at the site. <br /> M/S (Gernand/Eakin) recommend approval of the 10-year renovation plan in <br /> conjunction with a Mills Act Contract for the property located at 842 Edgewood Road. <br /> Motion Passed 4-0 <br /> 5. Main Street Historic District Expansion <br /> Chair Rolandelli stated that the report for an expansion to the Main Street Historic <br /> District is nearly complete. Three pieces remain: the cover page, which Mr. Zack has <br /> created; acknowledgements page; and table of contents. Mr. Rolandelli requested that <br /> these items be completed and presented and the November meeting. <br /> Mr. Rhoads expressed concern about the boundaries of the proposed district, in <br /> particular the exclusion of the west side of the street and the adjacent historic homes <br /> on Stambaugh Street. Chair Rolandelli explained that the boundaries were drawn in <br /> conjunction with the State Office of Historic Preservation to ensure eligibility for the <br /> National Register. <br /> 6. Potential Mt. Carmel District <br /> Chair Rolandelli gave some background to the District for the benefit of the <br /> Committee's new member. He stated that he would like to have a meeting between <br /> himself, Vice-Chair Gernand, and Community Development Director Bill Ekern to <br /> discuss the possibility of receiving City funding for all or part of the work necessary for <br /> the creation of the district. <br /> 7. Embarcadero Tuming Basin <br /> Mr. Zack provided an update. He stated that the tenant was not enthusiastic about the <br /> HRAC's proposed design and is commissioning her own design for the mural. Mr. <br /> Gernand stated that if her design had a historic theme related to the Port that his <br /> foundation may still contribute funds toward the costs of its installation. <br /> 8. Historic Courthouse Salvaged Items <br /> Committee members reviewed photos of salvaged Courthouse which are now stored at <br /> the City's Corporation Yard. Public Works staff has asked whether these items should <br /> continue to be stored, or if they should be disposed of. Mr. Rolandelli suggested that <br /> the Committee members do a site visit to view the items stored and make a <br /> determination at a future date. <br /> LEGAL22641265.1 <br />
