This workshop will be
facilitated by the Consultant's Project Manager and will include key team members from the
geotechnical and tunneling subconsultants. The workshop will rely on the information generated
in Task 2 -2 to establish the agenda. Outcomes of the workshop will involve confirmation of the
design criteria, and agreement on the approach for design. The workshop is assumed to require
three (3) hours, including travel.
Task 2 Prepare a Pre Design Report Supplement
Consultant will prepare a Pre Design Report Supplement based on deliverables generated in
Tasks 2 -2 and 2 -3. The Pre Design Report Supplement will include the following:
• Draft schedule featuring coordination between Redwood City and. SBSA,
• Opinion of soil conditions and their impact on tunneling method,
• Measures required to protect the existing 48 -inch Walnut Street Gravity Interceptor
crossing Highway 101 and the SBSA 48 -inch force main paralleling the east right -of -way
line of Highway 101,
• Results from discussions with Caltrans concerning existing pipeline records and
allowance for advancement of a 60 -inch concrete product pipe without a casing,
• Completed Risk Register,
• Identification of mitigation for impact to the County Women's Correctional Center from
construction, and
• Preferred alignment, presented in a 30% design sketch format,
• Preferred tunneling method, presented in a 30% sketch format with supporting text,
• List of Specifications.
REV: 12 -05 -13 VR
ATTY /AG8.2013,2401Ken nedyJenks_237900
