7.1.B. - Page 2 <br /> A number of partner agencies and organizations have direct roles in supporting <br /> Redwood City 2020 and the collaborative prevention strategies enacted by the <br /> Prevention Partnership, illustrating the widespread need and attention that this critical <br /> issue holds throughout the community. These partner agencies include Sequoia Union <br /> High School District, Stanford University's John W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their <br /> Communities, Friends for Youth, Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center, Redwood City <br /> Police Department, San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, Sequoia Teen Resource Center, <br /> StarVista, and Youth Leadership Institute. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Council may elect not to authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement thereby <br /> denying San Mateo County's $225,000 grant to Redwood City 2020 to fund the <br /> Prevention Partnership program . <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> Through this Agreement, the County of San Mateo provides $225,000 in grant funding <br /> to support the Prevention Partnership services which are outlined in the agreement and <br /> facilitated by Redwood City 2020. No City funds will be used for this effort.
