RESOLUTION NO. 13420 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT TO CONDUCT PREDATOR DAMAGE MANAGEMENT <br /> ACTNITIES ON THE REDWOOD SHORES PEI�IINSULA IN TI-IE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY (UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE <br /> AIVIMAL AND PLANT HEALTH INSPECTION SERVICE AND WILDLIFE <br /> SERVICES); (304) <br /> Vice Mayor Ruskin responded to concerns expressed by Mr. Murphy by <br /> reviewing the background of the project and the demands of the U.S. Army <br /> Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services, and the Bay <br /> Conserva6on and Development Commission. <br /> M/S: Ruskin, Hartnett, to adopt the resolution. <br /> Of particular concern to Mr. Murphy were the maintenance of the dike and <br /> restriction of public access. He asked when the expenditure would end and <br /> stated that the Levee Improvement Project is important for all of Redwood <br /> City. <br /> Mayor Howard stated that it is difficult to comply with the demands of all <br /> the other agencies and save the City money. She expressed concern regazding <br /> public access and what will be done with stray cats. The Mayor stated that the <br /> agencies have an obligation to notify the community of what might be done. <br /> She has asked for phone numbers for the public to call. <br /> City Manager Everett said that money is available to do the work planned. <br /> This agenda item is a request to raise the levees.
