7.2.E. - Page 5 <br /> NOTICE INVITING SEALED BIDS <br /> SUPPLY OF THREE (3) 2014 DODGE CHARGER SXT OR EQUIVALENT <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA <br /> GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> 1. DEFINITIONS <br /> a. In these specifications, the word "City" means the City of Redwood City, California. <br /> b. The term"Bidder","Supplier"or"Vendor"means the person,firm or corporation with <br /> whom the contract is being made by the City, or the agent or legal representative who <br /> may be appointed to represent such party, firm or corporation in the execution of this <br /> contract. <br /> 2. PROPOSALS <br /> Bids shall comply with applicable provisions of the Government Code of the State of <br /> California and with the following: <br /> a. Bids shall be as indicated on the forms contained in the documents attached hereto and <br /> entitled 'BID PROPOSAL FORM", properly executed in ink, with all appropriate <br /> spaces filled in. Additional information may be submitted by the bidder on separate <br /> sheets. <br /> b. Before submitting a bid, bidders should read the specifications carefully and inform <br /> themselves completely as to all existing conditions and limitations. The bid shall <br /> include the cost of all existing conditions and limitations. The bid shall include the <br /> cost of all items necessary to complete the contract. <br /> c. Each bid shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the City Clerk of the City <br /> of Redwood City, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA 94063, The outside of <br /> the envelope shall be plainly marked, with the name of the bidder, bid title and date <br /> and time of opening. <br /> d. Bids must be in the Office of the City Clerk not later than the time and date shown on <br /> the Notice Inviting Bids. <br /> 3. WITHDRAWAL OF BID <br /> Any Bidder may withdraw his or her own bid, either personally or by written request, prior to <br /> the scheduled closing date for receipt of bids. <br /> 4. INTERPRETATION <br /> If a prospective Bidder is in doubt of the true meaning of any part of the "Notice Inviting <br /> Bids", "General Conditions", or the "Specifications" or finds discrepancies in, or omissions in <br /> the same, the Bidder may submit to the City a written request for an interpretation or a <br /> correction thereof. Any interpretations or correction of the proposed documents will only be <br /> made by an addendum mailed or delivered to each person receiving a set of bid documents. <br /> Such addendum shall be considered a part of the contract. <br /> 5. NEW MATERIAL; ACCEPTANCE <br /> Bids are requested on new and unused articles only. Items purchased hereunder will be subject <br /> to final inspection and acceptance at delivery destination as set forth in detail specifications. <br /> 6. AWARD OF CONTRACT OR REJECTION OF BIDS <br /> 3 <br />
