7.2.E. - Page 7 <br /> 11. SHIPPING WEIGHT <br /> Each Bidder shall state in his proposal the total shipping weight, listing and segregating the <br /> individual unit weights and shipping weights, if F.O.B. point of shipment. <br /> 12. DELIVERIES; DISTANCE; EXTENSION OF TIME <br /> Delivery shall be made as set forth in detail specifications. "Delivery" is defined as complete <br /> delivery of equipment, materials, vehicles or supplies free and clear from any and all claims, <br /> debts or demands whatsoever at the place designated in detail specifications. <br /> All equipment, materials, vehicles or supplies required by this contract shall be delivered to <br /> the Redwood City Municipal Service Center (1400 Broadway, Redwood City, CA 94063) <br /> within ninety (90)working days of the date of the purchase order. <br /> Applications for extension of time beyond ninety (90) days of the date of the purchase order <br /> shall be made in writing to the City Contact not more than seven (7) calendar days from the <br /> beginning of any condition, which will cause delay. Allowances will be made for delays of <br /> delivery due to strikes, fires, floods or other causes not due to the fault or negligence of the <br /> Supplier. <br /> 13. ERRORS AND OMISSIONS <br /> The Supplier will not be allowed to take advantage of any error or omission in their bid. <br /> 14. LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER <br /> In order to promote the policy declared above, contracts will be awarded only to such bidders <br /> as are determined to meet the following qualifications of lowest responsible bidder. <br /> The award may be to the lowest responsible bidder or other bidder. In determining who the <br /> award is to be made, the awarding authority may consider, in addition to the bid or quotation <br /> received, the experience of the bidder for the particular service sought, the quality of work <br /> that the bidder has done, the quality of the product or materials provided by the bidder, the <br /> ability of the bidder to complete the project in a timely manner, the safety compliance record <br /> of the bidder, and the insurance carried by the bidder. <br /> 15. FEDERAL AND STATE TAXES <br /> The prices bid shall include any Federal tax, exclusive of Federal Excise Tax heretofore <br /> imposed by Congress, which is applicable to the material to be furnished. If any sales tax, <br /> processing tax, adjustment charge or other taxes or charges are imposed or changed by <br /> Congress after the date set for opening bids and made applicable directly upon the production, <br /> manufacture or sale of the supplies to be furnished,and are paid by the Supplier on the articles <br /> or supplies furnished, then the prices stated in the schedules will be increased or decreased <br /> accordingly, and any amounts due the Supplier as the result of such changes will be charged <br /> to the City and added on vouchers (or invoices) as separate items. <br /> 16. PAYMENTS <br /> Payment will be made promptly following delivery, inspection, and acceptance of goods by <br /> the City and receipt of invoice. <br /> 5 <br />
