7.1.F. - Page 10 <br /> as an elected official on many of the City's committees and several regional boards in <br /> the County of San Mateo and statewide boards. <br /> • Ian Bain was elected to the City Council in 2003 and currently serves on Council's Traffic <br /> Committee, Communications Committee and the Revenue and Finance Committee. <br /> The Sewer Utility System <br /> The City owns and operates a sanitary sewer collection system consisting of <br /> approximately 200 miles of sewer pipelines and 31 sewer lift stations. The City's wastewater is <br /> conveyed to the Authority for treatment and disposal. The City's sewer utility is accounted for as <br /> separate enterprise fund. <br /> The Community Development Department's Public Works Division oversees <br /> management, maintenance and operation of the City's sewer collection system.
