The Sewer Utility System The City owns and operates a sanitary sewer collection system consisting of approximately 200 miles of sewer pipelines and 31 sewer lift stations. The City's wastewater is conveyed to the Authority for treatment and disposal. The City's sewer utility is accounted for as separate enterprise fund. The Community Development Department's Public Works Division oversees management, maintenance and operation of the City's sewer collection system. The City's Engineering and Construction Division of the Community Development Department is responsible for the design and construction of capital improvements to the City's sewer collection system. Financial management of the City's Sewer Utility System is provided by the City's Finance Department under which the Revenue Services Division is responsible for all City utility billing and collections, including processing of connection and facilities fees. Wastewater Flows The following table shows a five-year fiscal year history of the City's annual wastewater flows to the Authority.
