MINUTE ORDER 98-265 <br /> B. Introduction of Ordinance Adding Sections 18.234 through 18.243 to the Redwood <br /> City Code Regarding the Requirements for Street Improvements (301) <br /> Community Development Services Manager Patterson reported this ordinance provides for <br /> the planned extension and repair of utility and street improvements when new buildings are <br /> constructed, installment of tenant improvements or when substantial remodel occurs upon <br /> building permit issuance where there is addition of 500 Square feet to commercial or <br /> residential or tenant improvements of 50 percent or more of footage in commercial <br /> building. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding staff's notification efforts to contractors, Chamber of <br /> - Commerce, Board of Realtors, and possible economic impacts to small business owners <br /> and home owners, <br /> MIS Ciairellra to introduce the ordinance by reading the title only and waiving the reading <br /> in entirety. <br /> City Clerk McKay introduced the ordinance by reading the title only. <br /> The motion carried by a majority roll call vote with Council Members Leipzig and Ruskin <br /> voting no. <br /> C. Adopt Resolution Authorizing Negotiation of Purchase for Computer Aided Dispatch, <br /> Records Management, and Mobile Data Terminal System, from Lucent Technologies <br /> for Police Department (304) <br /> Police Captain Switzer presented a report to Council regarding the Police Department's <br /> receipt of $1,188,643 in federal grant funds to purchase an automated computer aided <br /> dispatch, mobile data terminals and records management system, developed in consortiwn <br /> with San Carlos, Belmont, Foster City and Hillsborough. <br /> MIS Bain/CIaire to adopt Resolution No. 13504 authorizing the City Manager to <br /> - negotiate and execute a contract for the purchase of a comprehensive Computer Aided <br /> REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES BOOK NO. 57 OCTOBER 26, 1998 <br /> MINUTES Page No. 191 PAGE 7 <br />
