STAFF PRESENTATION OF PROPOSED SIGN ORDINANCE <br /> REVISIONS <br /> Staff noted there were no oral communications and no minutes for approval and reported <br /> the purpose of this session is to review the proposed amendments to the Sign Ordinance. <br /> Bob Schubert, consultant planner, presented the draft and described the previous <br /> meetings with interested business groups, the Chamber of Commerce and the 'focus <br /> group' that had been created to provide input to this process. The Senior Planner, <br /> discussed the creation of a set of "design guidelines" to accompany the new ordinance <br /> and to "flesh out" some of the ordinance stipulations and to also articulate different <br /> standards for various districts of the city. A slide presentation of current signs was <br /> conducted with discussion of proposed changes as per new ordinance. <br /> - It was suggested that the impacts of the ordinance be reviewed after a period of time, <br /> MINUTES BOOK NO. 57 <br /> Page No. 193 <br />
