7.1.A. - Page 4 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY CONSIDERING THE ADDENDUM TO THE MITIGATED <br /> NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE REDWOOD CITY RECYCLED <br /> WATER PROJECT, AND AMENDING THE RECYCLED WATER <br /> SERVICE AREA MAP TO EXPAND COVERAGE IN THE CENTRAL <br /> REDWOOD CITY AND GREATER BAYFRONT AREAS <br /> WHEREAS, in July 2008, the City Council adopted an "Ordinance of the City of <br /> Redwood City, California, Adding Article VIII to Chapter 38 of the City Code Regarding <br /> Recycled Water Use" (the "Recycled Water Ordinance") which prescribes the uses of <br /> the recycled water in the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 14544, the City adopted a mitigated negative <br /> declaration for the Redwood City Recycled Water Project ("Project"), which consists of <br /> infrastructure facilities (transmission and distribution pipelines, pump stations, storage <br /> reservoirs and minor appurtenant facilities) to deliver disinfected tertiary treated <br /> recycled water from the South Bayside System Authority wastewater treatment plant to <br /> customers in the Redwood Shores, Greater Bayfront and Central Redwood City area, <br /> as well as other potential customers inside and outside of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 14547, the City approved the Project to provide <br /> recycled water to customers in the Recycled Water Service Area for nonpotable uses <br /> approved by the State; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City that recycled water shall be used for <br /> nonpotable uses within the Recycled Water Service Area; and <br /> WHEREAS, a map, showing the precise location of the Recycled Water Service <br /> Area was adopted by the City Council in May 2008 as Resolution No. 14544; and <br /> ATTY/RESO.2923/AMENDING RECYCLED WATER SERVICE AREA MAP <br /> REV: 1-27-14 MLG <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br />
