7.1.A. - Page 5 <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to expand the Recycled Water Service Area (as <br /> reflected in attached Exhibit A - "Revised Recycled Water Service Area Map") to include <br /> additional service areas in the City not currently covered by the Recycled Water Service <br /> Area map; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has analyzed the expansion of the Recycled Water Service <br /> Area as required by CEQA and, pursuant to CEQA Guideline §15164, prepared an <br /> Addendum to the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Redwood City Recycled Water <br /> Project dated December 12, 2013 ("Addendum"); and <br /> WHEREAS, under CEQA Guidelines §15162, a lead agency may prepare an <br /> addendum to a previously approved Mitigated Negative Declaration to analyze changes <br /> in a project, or in circumstances surrounding a project, where the record indicates that a <br /> supplemental or subsequent Mitigated Negative Declaration is not required; and <br /> WHEREAS, under CEQA Guidelines §15164(d), a lead agency must consider <br /> the addendum with the adopted Mitigated Negative Declaration prior to making a <br /> decision on the proposed project; and <br /> WHEREAS, all environmental documentation for the Redwood City Recycled <br /> Water Project, including, but not limited to, the June 2002 Initial Study/Mitigated <br /> Negative Declaration for the Redwood City Recycled Water Project ("2002 MND") and <br /> the December 12, 2013 Addendum to the MND were made available to the Redwood <br /> City Council for review and consideration prior to considering expansion of the Recycled <br /> Water Service Area; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council having reviewed and considered all the <br /> environmental documentation took the actions set forth below. <br /> ATTY/RESO.2923/AMENDING RECYCLED WATER SERVICE AREA MAP <br /> REV: 1-27-14 MLG <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br />
