She opined that a lot of water is lost by landscaping, not <br /> toilets. She also said native plants need to establish root systems in the first two years, <br /> so more water would need to be used the first two years. <br /> M/S Seybert/Gee to close the Public Hearing. STUDY SESSION(S) <br /> A Block 2 Study Session (100) <br /> Community Development Director Bill Ekern provided an update on the Block 2 <br /> development and that it would be brought to the Planning Commission for review on <br /> June 18th and then, if approved, to Council for actions on July 22"d. He brought up the <br /> issue of parking: if applying the zoning code as is, then there will be double the parking <br /> available. By taking advantage of the Downtown Precise Plan, then the parking has <br /> more reasonable spaces and nights and weekends are available to the public. Mr. <br /> Ekern also said that the City is working with the developer on parking during the <br /> construction period. <br /> Secondly, Mr. Ekern mentioned that the project had evolved and moved away from the <br /> depot circle towards a better architectural statement.
