5. SPECIAL ORDER(S) OF THE DAY <br /> A. Presentation - Latino Community Council of Redwood City/Redwood <br /> City Library Foundation (LCCRC/RCLF) to the City Council regarding <br /> funds raised during the "Kermes — Dia Del Nino" which will benefit the <br /> Fair Oaks Library - Arnoldo Arreola, Latino Community Council of <br /> Redwood City; Georgi LaBerge, Redwood City Library Foundation; and, <br /> Kiwoba Allaire, Rocket Fuel, Inc. <br /> Ms. Georgi La Berge thanked the Council for this opportunity and thanked the <br /> community for its support of this event. She also invited Mr. Arnoldo Arreola, Chair of <br /> the Latino Community Council. He expressed his gratitude to the partners for their help <br /> with the Third Annual Kermes. Ms. Allaire and Mr. Ernie Schmidt demonstrated the <br /> iPads, which were donated to the Fair Oaks Library by Rocket Fuel, Inc. Ms. Allaire <br /> thanked and commended the City Council for its values and how this community is <br /> about caring and giving, and especially helping youth at risk. <br /> B. Presentation - New South County Clinic being built in North Fair Oaks <br /> to replace the Fair Oaks Adult and Fair Oaks Children's Clinic - <br /> Jonathan S. Mesinger, PhD, San Mateo Medical Center Clinics Manager <br /> Doctor Mesinger presented to the Council the plans for the new clinic and educated the <br /> public on the services that will be provided there (presentation on file). He shared his <br /> excitement about this building and the positive impacts it will have on the community. <br /> C. Recognition - Red Morton Park as the "Best of the Best for Family <br /> Friendly" park on the Peninsula by Bay Area Parent Magazine and by <br /> vote of the public - Chris Beth, Parks, Recreation and Community <br /> Services Director <br /> Mayor Aguirre recognized Mr. Beth for the tremendous work that has been <br /> accomplished and Mr. Beth shared the award with the Council. He thanked the <br /> community for its support and his staff. <br /> D. Swearing in of Library Board Appointee Lisa Hicks Dumanske - <br /> Silvia Vonderlinden, City Clerk <br /> City Clerk Vonderlinden swore in the new appointee to the Library Board. <br /> 6.
