Ted Kai said he is doing a study on camp sites in the area and expressed concerns
about the difficulties in finding close camp sites that also allow parking in the area for
visitors. He believes the closest camp sites are on the coast but opined that each
Californian city should have a campsite.
Eric Pease spoke against the recent BCDC permit for taking out the marina at Pete's
Harbor and questioned the rights to the land by those who wish to make improvements
there. He spoke in favor of saving Pete's Harbor and the marina and noted he is a
resident on the last boat there and he also opined that once the marina is torn down, it
would be a costly problem to put it back into place for the City.
James Han Lee said he is a candidate for Redwood City Council but he is here to speak
about agenda item 6.1 C on the Inner Harbor Specific Plan that is the first amendment to
contract with MIG and he thanked Council and staff for putting the process together for
public input. She asked for clarity and more
information about whether the marina will be private or public and she also commented
that a court judge is open to their arguments; there is nothing showing that the Federal
Government was approached regarding an access road that belongs to U.S. Fish and
Wildlife; and, they support for the public kayak launch.
