Approve Task Order for Sandpiper Community Center (Vanir Construction) (304) <br /> Sr. Civil Engineer Lynch reported on the need for these task orders to cover the amount of <br /> work already performed in dealing with a claim by contractor D.L. Falk Construction and <br /> associated construction delays of the Sandpiper Park and Community Center joint use project. <br /> He noted this should provide for work to be done until a jointly scheduled City Council and <br /> School District Board meeting on January II, 1999, for an executive session to discuss the <br /> claim. <br /> John Murphy, Luff Lane, noted a typographical error on page two of the executive summary, <br /> whereas the date should be January 11, 1999, not 1998. <br /> MIS LeipziglRuskin approved task orders No.5 with Gordon Chong and Associates for <br /> additional architectural services for the Sandpiper Park Project, in the amount of $25,812 (City <br /> share is $10,067); and No.4 with Vanir Construction Management, Inc. for additional <br /> consulting construction management services for the Sandpiper Park Project, in the amount of <br /> $55,680 (city's share is $27,840).
