He cited <br /> Ravenswood in Menlo Park's improvements as a comparison to what is being proposed for <br /> Redwood City. He reviewed the design issues agreed upon with Redwood City staff and noted <br /> the remaining areas of concern. <br /> Community Development Services Manager Patterson reported on discussions and City staff's <br /> concerns for safety and aesthetics for Redwood City residents. He noted the possible need for <br /> City Council representation at the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board meeting of January 7, <br /> 1999. <br /> - MIS HartnettlRuskin directed the Mayor to appoint Council representative(s) to address the <br /> five items of outstanding issues with both staff representatives, regarding; K-rail usage, <br /> pedestrian crossings, signalization, Winslow Street and the northern shelter area, and directed <br /> staff to negotiate with Caltrain as appropriate and for the Mayor's designees to directly discuss <br /> the unresolved issues with the Cal Train Joint Powers Board directly, if necessary. <br /> Council Member Leipzig requested the maker of the motion to add additional wording of <br /> "gather public information by soliciting customers and informing them of proposed changes <br /> and ask them for feedback. n It was the consensus of Council to add this additional wording to <br /> the motion. Citizen Survey Report (203) <br /> The Assistant to the City Manager reported that Redwood City has recently began our second <br /> year of participation in the ICMA Comparative Performance Measurement Consortium. She <br /> noted that in concert with City staff's continuous improvement efforts and ICMA's needs, a <br /> citizen survey is desired to collect data regarding quality of service in conjunction with <br /> comparative quantitative data.
