Elementary School, Sandpiper Park and Community Center in Redwood Shores are <br /> complete or due to open this Spring, with added day care and a teen center to come; <br /> . Economic Development Coordinator has been hired, and issues addressed in 1996 <br /> included continuous Broadway tree lighting, downtown parking meters, the Mezes <br /> Plaza Project, the new Downtown Business Group and discussion of aggressive <br /> Redevelopment Agency activity in the downtown area; <br /> . Creating a positive business climate and improved quality of service which included <br /> establishing a one-stop permit process; <br /> . City funds for relocating the San Mateo County Historical Museum to downtown <br /> Redwood City; <br /> . Increased code enforcement, adding one more full time code enforcement officer, <br /> focusing on El Camino Real, Woodside and Broadway. A subcommittee on El <br /> Camino Real has been established; <br /> . Funded a position to meet the priority of support for youth and schools, and support <br /> for the Project to upgrade all 15 school media centers; <br /> - .
