, ���. <br /> ,. ._ :� <br /> " (1) That the granting of a time extension will <br /> not be detrimental to persons or property in <br /> the neighborhood. <br /> " (2) That the granting of a time extension is not <br /> contrary to the intent of this ordinance. <br /> " (3) That the granting of a time extension will <br /> alleviate a hardship on the applicant. <br /> The fee for such Use Permit shall be the same as, <br /> and the application therefor shall be on the same <br /> form as that required for a Fence Permit. " <br /> SECTION 25. Section 31. 9 of the aforementioned ordinance is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 31. 9 Public Utilities Lines and Structures. <br /> " (a) Public utility distribution lines and poles and <br /> underground facilities for local distribution of gas, water, <br /> electricity and telephone service shall be allowed in all <br /> districts without obtaining a use permit therefor. <br /> " (b) Public utility storage and maintenance yards and <br /> offices shall be permitted only in the districts wherein such <br /> uses and activities are specifically permitted by this ordinance. <br /> " (c) Public utilities substations, pumping stations, <br /> equipment buildings and similar facilities whose locations are <br /> dictated by the physical factors of the service they perform <br /> may be permitted in any district provided that the public <br /> utility proposing s�ch an installation in a district where such <br /> is not otherwise permitted can demonstrate conclusively to <br /> the Zoning Administrator that a necessary public service cannot <br /> reasonably otherwise be provided without locating such facility <br /> where proposed, and provided further that a use permit be <br /> obtained in each case. <br /> " (d) All proposed gas, water, telephone and electric <br /> transmission lines and facilities, whose main purpose is the <br /> transmission of bulk quantities of these services, rather than <br /> -17- <br />
