Applications ��r architectural <br /> permits shall be reviewed by the Zoning Administrator in order <br /> to insure that the functional arrangement and the general appear- <br /> ance of the structure from the street or other public place <br /> will be in keeping with the purposes outlined in Section 45. 1. " <br /> SECTION 58. Section 45.7 of the aforementioned ordinance is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 45. 7 Action. With respect to structures <br /> for which architectural permits are required pursuant to this <br /> article, the Zoning Administrator shall either approve or <br /> deny the application as the Zoning Administrator determines <br /> is necessary to carry out the purposes of this ordinance or <br /> may approve the application subject to the applicant making <br /> such changes in the location of parking or access facilities, <br /> architectural features or styling, landscaping, or fencing as <br /> the Zoning Administrator finds necessary to carry out the <br /> purposes of this ordinance. " <br /> SECTION 59. Section 45. 8 of the aforementioned ordinance is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 45. 8 Architectural Standards. In approving, <br /> conditionally approving, or denying any application for an <br /> architectural permit, the Zoning Administrator shall base <br /> his action upon the following factors: <br /> " (a) The existence of sufficient variety in the design <br /> of the structure and grounds to avoid monotony <br /> in the external appearance. <br /> " (b) The size and design of the structure shall be <br /> considered for the purpose of determining that the <br /> structure is in proportion to its building site <br /> and that it has a balance and unity among its <br /> external features so as to present a harmonious <br /> appearance. <br /> -33- <br />
