Council Member Claire thanked his colleagues for giving him the time to use his trusty - HP calculator at a Council meeting to demonstrate how the funding for the proposed City Hall made sense. He reported that his calculator was placed in the City Hall's time capsule that would be opened in fifty years, and he planned to be here to retrieve it. City Manager Everett said that staff had invited all the press to be here tonight to hear the report on the new City Hall being built on time and under budget. He thanked Jon Rhine of the Redwood City Tribune, the only representative of the press present, for his attendance. City Manager Everett said everyone looked forward to Mr. Rhine's account of this important Report to Council and the people of Redwood City.
