Council Study Session with the Planning Commission and Architectural Advisory <br /> Committee. Patricia A. Brown, Director of the Peninsula Center for Conflict Resolution, <br /> will facilitate the meeting. (209) <br /> Director Brown introduced Assistant Director Betsy Vesgo, and described the ground <br /> rules and the discussion items which included: <br /> 1. Introductions; <br />- 2. Concerns of the Planning Commission and Architectural Advisory Committee; <br /> 3. Council concerns and priorities; <br /> 4. How the Planning Commission and Architectural Advisory Committee might become <br /> more effective; <br /> 5. Work plans for the future; <br /> 6. Other issues. <br /> Council Members, Planning Commissioners and Architecture Advisory Committee <br /> Members introduced themselves and expressed what they hoped to achieve in this working <br /> Study Session: that this Study Session would produce a real sense of working together, <br /> new and better communications between them, a sense of cooperation but independence, <br /> honest and frank discussions, a better sense of direction from the Council, a new comfort <br /> level between them, a way to develop a process to be more proactive rather than reactive, <br /> discovering how each group fits into the overall work of the City and how they relate to <br /> one another, better understanding of the different processes at work, how they could better <br /> acknowledge the work of the boards, committees and commissions and how they could <br /> build upon that work, and how the World Savings Building was approved. <br />- <br /> Adjourned Regular Meeting/Study Session MINUTE BOOK NO. 56 April !3, 1998 <br /> Minutes Page No. 395 Page 9 <br />
