No one came forward. 4. Closed public hearing; MIS: LElPZIG/BAIN TO CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE AND HEARING CLOSED AT 9:16 P.M. 5. Council action; Council Member Leipzig said, "This is something we have to do, obviously. I would request that the City Manager plan for after next year's budget as if we won't have (the grant) just in case Congress doesn't approve it." He said he didn't want to be in the position of having staff coming to Council advising that there would have to be layoffs due to lack of funding. Mayor Howard thanked the members of the Police Department who did the grant - writing to acquire these extra funds for the City to pay for the additional officers already approved by Council.
