Accept the resignation of Ed Nordness from the Parks and Recreation Commission, with deep regret, and many thanks for his outstanding service to the community; (209) Mayor Howard advised that Mr. Nordness was moving out of Redwood City and therefore had to resign from the Commission. She described his tremendous volunteer efforts benefiting the City, especially Red Morton Community Center, and expressed the hope of the Council that Mr. Nordness would continue his outstanding service to the City. Consider a resolution vacating a portion of a 10-foot wide underground public utility easement on Marina Park Center at Redwood Shores; (606) - Affidavits of notification of publication and posting are on file in the City Clerk Department. 1) Staff report: REPORT: Lowell Sue, Senior Civil engineer, November 17, 1997 Engineering and Construetion Manager Patterson presented the staff report, which states that the owners of the property requested the termination of their public rights to a portion of the 10- foot wide underground public utility easement, and abandonment of the existing water main so they can construct a thirty-three thousand square foot office building. The owners will construct new water lines. 2) Open public hearing; Mayor Howard opened the public hearing at 7:50 p.m. 3) Hear public comment; Mayor Howard asked for public input.
