Emergency Contracting Repair Services, Creek Wall at Redwood Avenue and Ebener <br /> Street <br /> REPORT: Public Works Services Superintendent Adams, December 8, 1997 <br /> Public Works Services Direetor Ingram presented the staff report and described the <br /> collapse of a sixty-foot section of the concrete lined creek wall and the City's response. <br /> He said, "there is substantial evidence as written in the Report, the emergency created by <br /> this collapsed wall cannot allow delay in repairing it. It is important the Minutes reflect <br /> that, because you are taking an action that is counter to your normal bidding processes. It <br /> is also important to note that you need six affirmative votes on this...., and we have an <br /> obligation for reporting on this item from now until it is completed to again comply with <br /> the laws in this respect." <br /> In response to Couneil asking if staff could do the repairs any faster than outlined in the <br /> Report, Direetor Ingram described the design process and some of the events that need to <br /> take place before construction could begin, but assured Council that the temporary wall <br /> would be OK in the interim. <br /> MIS: LEIPZIG/IRA.
