<br /> I I I I <br /> <br /> - Those four factors resulted in a projected overage of $770,000. <br /> Facilities Committee Chairperson Buchan reminded the Council that the <br /> Committee had advised there would be overages when the maintenance facility was <br /> separated ITom the fire station and moved to the SBSA site at the request of Redwood <br /> Shores residents living near the proposed new fife station/maintenance facility <br /> complex. <br /> In response to Councilman Leipzig's questions, Councilwoman Buchan listed <br /> some projects that might be postponed and some projects with left over funds that <br /> might be used to make up the shortfall. <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Howard asked that the Parks and Recreation Commission have an <br /> opportunity to review the Hawes Roofmg Project before the Committee makes any <br /> recommendations regarding that project. <br /> Director Ingram advised that the Development Agreement with Electronic Arts <br /> provides $400,000 for community projects in Redwood Shores and the <br /> Centrum/Oracle Agreement provided $200,000 for similar projects which has not yet <br /> been used. <br /> ---- Councilwoman La Berge reminded everyone that the Council had committed to <br /> building the highest quality projects the City could build in Redwood Shores and the <br /> Council was going to live up to that commitment. <br /> Chairperson Buchan reported that Redwood Shores Neighborhood representative <br /> LaVerne Atherly attended the January 29, 1997 Facilities Committee and was aware <br /> of the funding proposals. <br /> In response to Councilman Leipzig's questions regarding how staff's originally <br /> proposed budget was so far off the mark, City Manager Everett, Director Ingram and <br /> Architect Gilmore described the three developers guestimates (without plans) that led <br /> to the $1.4 M project cost, the costs of bifurcating the plans with new designs and <br /> new standards for corrosion, and the additional design review keeping the CC and Rs <br /> as well as being responsive to the Redwood Shores Owners Association Design team <br /> including the many, many meetings with their architects. <br /> 6.
