<br /> MEASUREMENT& PAYMENT
<br /> 1.0 GENERAL
<br /> A. The total Bid price shall cover all work necessary for the proper and successful completion of the
<br /> Contract. All work not specifically set forth as a pay item in the Bidder's Bid, but necessary to meet the
<br /> requirements of this Contract, shall be considered a subsidiary obligation of the Contractor, and all
<br /> costs in connection therewith shall be included in the prices Bid.
<br /> B. All estimated quantities stipulated in the Bid form are to be used only as a basis for estimating the
<br /> probable cost of the work and/or for the purpose of comparing the Bids submitted for the work. The
<br /> actual amounts of work completed under unit price items may differ from estimated quantities. The
<br /> basis of payment for unit price work will be the actual amount of work completed. Contractor agrees to
<br /> make no claim for damages anticipated profits or otherwise on account of any difference in the amounts
<br /> of work actually performed, and estimated amounts therefore.
<br /> 1.01 MOBILIZATION, DEMOBILIZATION AND OTHER INCIDENTALS (BID ITEM N0. 1)
<br /> A. Full compensation for all mobilization consisting of preparatory work and operations, including, but not
<br /> limited to, those necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the
<br /> project site, traffic control measures including supplying, maintaining all traffic signs, portable
<br /> barricades and delineators required, any required flagging costs, as necessary to implement traffic
<br /> control measures will be considered as included in the lump sum price paid for MOBILIZATION,
<br /> DEMOBILIZATION AND OTHER INCIDENTALS and no separate payment will be made therefore.
<br /> Attention is directed to Sections 7-1.03, "Public Convenience," 7-1.04, "Public Safety," 12-3.04,
<br /> "Portable Delineators," and 12-1.03 "Flagging Costs," of the Standard Specifications and these Special
<br /> Conditions. The Contractor shall cooperate with local authorities relative to handling traffic through the
<br /> area, and shall make his own arrangements relative to keeping the work area clear of parked vehicles.
<br /> B. Full compensation for restoring existing landscape and damaged structures, and other incidentals
<br /> related to the completion of this Project shall be included as a lump sum price paid for MOBILIZATION,
<br /> DEMOBILIZATION AND OTHER INCIDENTALS. This work shall include, but is not limited to:
<br /> verification and location of existing equipment, restoration of damaged equipment, furnishings finishes
<br /> and structures due to installation of the improvements shall be to restored or replaced in kind to the
<br /> satisfaction of the City.
<br /> 1.02 RENOVATE INTERIOR ELEVATOR CAB (BID ITEM NO. 2)
<br /> A. The contract unit price paid for each interior elevator cab renovation shall include full compensation for
<br /> furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals for performing all the work required to
<br /> refinish all visible interior surtaces of each cab. Work includes, but is not limited to transporting the
<br /> equipment to the project site; removal and disposal of existing finishes and any associated substrate;
<br /> dust control; clean up; re-facing of existing cab walls, doors, door returns and soffits; furnishing and
<br /> installing new steel faced cab panels; furnishing and installing new handrails; furnishing and installing
<br /> new cab ceiling and lights; temporary disconnection of controls and power, reconnection of electrical
<br /> control board; making all electrical connections; and any other miscellaneous work items necessary to
<br /> provide a complete, functioning system. Elevator cab panels, handrails, cab ceiling, cab door and lights
<br /> shall be installed in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and recommendations.
<br /> B. Full compensation for all additional materials and labor, not shown on the plans or specified, which are
<br /> necessary to complete the installation of the various systems, shall be considered as included in the
<br /> contract unit price paid for the installation, or units thereof, and no additional compensation will be
<br /> allowed therefore.
<br /> C. Individual parts and components will not be measured for payment, but shall be included in the unit
<br /> price paid for each"Renovate Interior Elevator Cab."
