B.A. - Page 296 Pete's Harbor
uity or rceawooa illy Revised EIR Addendum
January 22, 2014 Page 3-55
project would be reduced compared to the 2003 project, project demolition and construction
noise impacts would remain potentially significant.
Mitigation 13-3 in the 2003 EIR included construction-period noise abatement procedures,
including among others: (1) preparation of a detailed construction plan, (2) designation of a
noise disturbance coordinator, (3) restrictions on construction hours, (4) construction of noise-
shielding barriers, and (5) designation of construction traffic routes.
The 2003 EIR concluded that implementation of these measures would substantially reduce
project construction period noise impacts, but occasional exceedances of City noise standards
(60 dBA Ldn) at nearby residential areas may still occur and, as a result, this impact would be
significant and unavoidable.
Conclusion. Modified impact and mitigation. Because pile driving would be replaced with
auger cast pile installation, Mitigation 13-3 has been modified accordingly. Subsequent to City
certification of the 2003 Marina Shores Village Project EIR, the City has concluded in its various
CEQA documents and findings for other projects that implementation of City-required noise
abatement procedures would reduce short-term, intermittent construction-period noise impacts
to a less-than-significant level. This conclusion also applies to the Pete's Harbor project.
Other Impacts. The 2003 EIR determined that the previous Marina Shores Village project
would have less-than-significant impacts resulting from project-generated off-site traffic noise,
ambient aircraft noise exposure, and cumulative noise conditions. The current Pete's Harbor
project includes no components or new conditions that would change these conclusions.
T.110695 Pete's Harbor EIR Addendumlrevised addendum no 213(10695-01).doc
