The U.S.Army <br /> Corps of Engineers(Corps)proposes to authorize Peter Dunne on behalf of the One Marina <br /> Association to undertake the proposed construction pursuant to the Nationwide Permit provisions <br /> of Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899(33 USC§403). <br /> NMFS has reviewed the Project Description,Avoidance and Minimization Measures,and Impact <br /> Analysis provided with the Corps'November 26,2012,letter. Subsequent to the Corps'letter, <br /> additional information provided to NMFS includes: (1)the Mitigation Proposal dated February <br /> 13,2013; and(2)project drawings provided by Katerina Galacatos of the Corps,Mike Josselyn <br /> of WRA Associates,and Peter Dunne via electronic mail messages between January 10,2013, <br /> and July 18,2013. NMFS,the Corps and the applicant have also shared information via <br /> electronic mail messages and phone conversations between January 22.2013,and November 7, <br /> 2013. The marina site is located in Redwood City,California adjacent to a private residential <br /> development. <br /> The proposed project involves the construction of a new 40-slip marina. To construct the <br /> marina,the project proposes to install approximately 0.24 acres of concrete floating docks,a <br /> 0.004 acre floating dock to accommodate small watercraft,and a 0.0009 acre gangway. Up to 25 <br /> concrete pilings(14 inches in diameter)would be installed to support the docks and gangway. <br /> All pilings will be installed with an impact hammer. The purpose of the proposed marina is to <br /> provide recreational use for One Marina residents. <br />
