You have the situation where you won't know what the
transaction is until it is completed, apparently June I, so I recommend that its major, initial
function, is fact finding, or fact collecting. And then these other issues should sort out,
some are not going to be that big of an issue... Developmental aspects, particularly the
connector road, obviously will come under the jurisdiction of the committee.
MEMO 4/8/97
Mayor Hartnett said, "As I understand the motion it is to consider these issues as
appropriate given the factual circumstances and that is the connector road, the force main
access, the continued human access and enhanced recreational use."
Mayor Hartnett said, "Before we get very far, and before any meetings of the Committee,
it would be best to have staff contact the Wildlife Refuge people to discuss some of these
issues, to lay a foundation for consideration of the separate issues... before it gets too
complicated."
MEMO 4/8/97
ITERATION OF MOTION AS AMENDED
'~.
REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MINUTE BOOK NO. 55 APRIL 7,1997
MINUTES Page No. 247 PAGE 25
