<br /> ADOPTED BY UNANIMOUS ROLL CALL VOTE. <br /> Councilwoman Buchan and Vice Mayor Howard volunteered to be on the Committee to <br /> look at the seven parcels and bring back recommendations to the Council for the best use <br /> of that land. <br /> Councilman Leipzig suggested that the Council consider the best use of the land during a <br /> full and open discussion at a public Council meeting, rather than having a Council <br /> Committee bring forth recommendations. <br /> In response to Councilman Leipzig's concerns regarding his input into the <br /> recommendation and decision making process, Councilwoman Buchan described her <br /> participation in the Committee on Wyndham Place, and the benefits of a group of diverse <br /> people and staff brainstorming ideas to bring back to Council. <br /> Mayor Hartnett assured his Council colleagues that there would indeed be a full, free and <br /> open discussion of this matter, and he expressed confidence that the Committee would <br /> focus the Council on the important issues and options.
