<br /> In response to Mayor Hartnett's questions, Police Chief Bolanos said the problem on <br /> Commercial Alley had been eliminated, and he described the countless hours spent by <br /> the police department and the merchants working together to achieve these results. <br /> CONSENSUS: It was determined by Mayor Hartnett that it was the consensus of <br /> the Council to accept the Police Chiefs report with thanks to the department and <br /> the merchants for their good work in resolving this issue together. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 97-171 <br /> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> 5. BOARDS, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> A. Accept the letter of resignation from the Civic Cultural Commission submitted by Jeffrey <br /> K. Filippi, effective September 22, 1997, with deep regret, and gratitude for his long and <br /> distinguished service to the Commission and community; (209) <br /> Mayor Hartnett called upon those member of the audience who wished to speak to this <br /> issue. <br /> John Holt, 42 Iris Street, said he had spoken to Mr. Filippi last week and Mr. Filippi had <br /> raised some issues he believed the Council should look into. Mr. Holt said the Civic <br /> Cultural Commission does not have sufficient funds to support the "Tis the Season <br /> Program," and he advised that the Commission is planning to ask the Council for <br /> additional funds. <br /> CONSENSUS: It was determined by Mayor Hartnett that it was the consensus of <br /> the Council to accept the resignation of Jeffrey K.
