The audience welcomed Mrs. Chen with a round of applause. <br /> Acting Fire Chief Montenero also received a round of applause from the audience for <br /> his outstanding service to Redwood City. <br /> Mayor Hartnett said that the Council's volunteer par excellence Art Balsamo had <br /> attended the first Council meeting at 401 Marshall in 1959 and is now attending the first <br /> Council meeting in the new Council Chamber.
