" <br /> SECTION 3. Section 5. 9 of Ordinance No. 1130, the Redwood <br /> City Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 5.9. Yard Requirements. <br /> a. The following yard setbacks are required in the R-1 <br /> District: <br /> (1) Front yards: <br /> Front yards shall have a basic minimum yard setback of <br /> fifteen (15) feet, and provided further that no garage <br /> or carport space shall have its entrance located within <br /> twenty (20) feet of any property line. <br /> (2) Side yards: <br /> (a) Interior side yards, one-story dwellings: <br /> Interior side yards (side yards that abut other <br /> yards) shall have a basic minimum yard setback of <br /> six (6) feet provided that the horizontal distance <br /> to the side lot line of any point on any building <br /> face shall not be less than one-half its height <br /> above the side lot line. Wherever a main entrance <br /> to a building containing three (3) or more units <br /> opens into an interior side yard, a fifteen-foot <br /> minimum side yard setback shall be required which <br /> shall apply only to that portion of the lot <br /> between the front lot line and such main entrance. <br /> 2 <br />
